Hi
I have set up a rotational and translational body using RANS k-Epsilon. However when I start running the simulation I immediately get the following error: A floating point exception has occurred: floating point exception [invalid operation]. The specific cause cannot be identified. Context: star.segregatedflow.SegregatedFlowSolver What should I look at changing? Thanks. |

You can start with reducing URF for the solvers. But if there is problem with mesh or solver set up then reducing URF will not work. So it is good practice to first check mesh, solver etc. Otherwise state detail problem and set up etc to comment more

Hello.
You should check these things.. 1. Mesh 2. Initial condition if you can not find any problem #1 and #2, you should control URF. still you find the same problem.. You should control B.C.. for example.. your problem has 100 bar pressure difference between in and out.. you set the pressure difference like 5 bar.. and after few steps.. 10 bar.. like this. |
