Unhappy How to obtain the cell centroid in STAR-CCM+

Hi everybody,

i would like to visualize, obtain and export the cell centroid from starccm+. Can anyone help me? Thanks very much.

Create a threshold of elements for which you need centroid. Create a internal table with part as threshold. Extract the data. X,Y,Z values given are centroids of those elements.
You can export this table as well.

Yeah thanks it worked. But it exports a .csv file format.
How can I export them in .bdf format?

Thanks very much

In first try, change the extension by renaming as .bdf and open in required software. If this doesn't work.
Open the exported file into text Document or Excel, rearrange the rows and columns as required in .bdf. Like in some formats comma(,) as required to differentiate between different rows or columns. Sometimes space is needed. Arrange according to that, and then save it as .bdf. Hope this would work.



And yes do your homework before asking questions.
