Hello everyone

I'm new to STAR-CCM, and wondering if I can calculate wind side loads on a building? I'm currently working on analysing wind flows around the building and want to find out side-loading pressures acting on the building.

Thank you

You can do this in STAR-CCM. Create a case with flow around building. You will know the pressure profile on building surface. From areal elements you may be able to calculate resultant force on the building as well as the whole force profile like force distribution, center on action etc.

How do I create a case? I'm sorry, I just have no idea how to do it. Do I have to create a new field function?

By case ashokac7 just means a simulation. If you are not sure how to create force reports there's at least 1 tutorial that covers this, I would suggest you look at the tutorial guide.
