Dear all:
i am a student working on wind turbine blade's deformation. My work recently is to do FSI thing, which CFD code is Star-ccm+ and solid code is BeamDyn(a module of FAST, a time-domain structural-dynamics module for slender structures. https://nwtc.nrel.gov/BeamDyn). The wind turbine model is place in Star-ccm+, and Star-ccm+ calculate the fluid part, then transfer the pressure and shear force at few key points of the blade to BeamDyn. Then BeamDyn calculate the displacement of tip-top of wind turbine blade. And transfer the displacement back to Star-ccm+ to make the model deform.
My question is that , if i only know the top-tip displacement of the blade( x , y , z ), how could i make the whole mesh of the wind turbine blade model deform in Star-ccm+. As you know that, model in Star-ccm+ the mesh is more than 10,000 and by the way of time-domain structure-dynamics analysis i can't figured out every cell's displacement as the way Star-ccm+ coupled with abaqus do.
By the way , my wind turbine blade model is DTU 10MW.
Thanks for any help given.
