Hi, I am trying to plot a pressure difference of two simulations on the body in a 3D scene. (two simulations using the same mesh, but different conditions hence different pressure distributions)

I tried to import the solution and subtract the pressure fields, but I couldn't as they are in different regions (original region and imported region).
And, I tried to map the field function of the imported region (pressure) into the original region, but there is an error ("INPUT ERROR: Choose source fields for mapping.")

Does anyone know how to do it or any tutorials?

Thank you

Hi Soonseok,

Say you have simulations Sim1 and Sim2 with same mesh but different conditions. Try the following.
1. Export the 'solution data only' from Sim1. (select your desired functions) Say, Sim1_sol.
2. Export the 'mesh data only' from Sim2. Say, Sim2_mesh.
3. Import Sim1_sol to Sim2.
4. You will see new field functions generated in Sim2.
5. Write one field function to find the difference (like $newPressure-$Pressure)
6. Create a scalar scene with your field function.
Hope this helps!

Thank you very much for your reply, I have solve the problem with another solution though.

The problem was I cannot subtract the field functions because they were in different regions, that is why I was trying to map the field function into another region (imported region to original region).

When I tried to map the solution using 'right click' in the imported part tree, I couldn't do this for an error I don't understand, but when I tried the same thing at 'Tools-Data Mappers' I could manage to do this. (I don't know what is the difference between two as I put the same input part, target part, target field function, etc.)

Thank you.

How can I import solution data (Sim1_sol)? and what is the use of mesh which is exported from sim2(Sim2_mesh)?
