Hi everyone,
I am currently studying dynamic stall for a NACA 0012. I want to have my airfoil pitch from 0 to a certain AoA and then decrease back to zero, with some frequency: alpha(t) = alpha + alpha_oscillation * sin (wt). This is the equation I want to obey. I've read about overset meshes. Can I use it? And if so, how can I make it change to a certain angle, then to go back to zero, and all of this with the frequency (period) I want? I hope I was clear and explained myself well. I really need your help. Thank you! |

Hi,
I know this is a quite a late reply, but I hope it'll be of use to someone who's looking for an answer to the question posted. You can defined the motion that the overset mesh needs to follow by going through the following steps: 1. Goto Tools->Right click on Motions->Select Rotation 2. Now, Goto Regions->Your rotating body->Physical Values->Motion Specification->Rotation(under motion) 3. You can specify the rotation by making use of User defined field functions and assigning that function to the body. Hope this helps! |
