Greetings and good day to all.
I'm trying to compress a DEM particle bed (using a moving mesh) until compaction of a particular amount of pressure is obtained. I initially used simple 'Translation' under motions in tools but was not able to correlate it with any pressure or force, I then turned to using DFBI rotation and translation but when it came to specifying Body Couplings> Contact 1> Normal force, from what I've understood, this seems to be used in order to move the mesh under the influence of an external force until it makes contact with another region or environment. Am I looking in a completely incorrect direction? Can someone please guide me with respect to this? I simply need to have a moving mesh compact a particle bed until a compaction pressure of example 100 psi is obtained. |
