Hi guys!
i am using coupled solver for supersonic flow and the output shows max tem limited to 5000 in xx no. of cells... similar messages are displayed for min temp and pressure i can change these parameters from reference values icon but am not sure of its effect on solution...... plz comment on this problem.... |

In my experience, these messages indicate you have a problem with your mesh; did you check the quality of it before running? To check quality of volume mesh, I usually do: Right click on your Region -> Remove Invalid Cells -> Preview -> The boxes should indicate 0 problem cells found for a good mesh Another thing to do is to visualize where this min/max temp is taking place. Get a copy of the solution that has these min/max temp and make a threshold (Representations->Expand Volume Mesh -> Right click on Cell Sets ->Threshold). Create 1 threshold for "Below" and one for "Above" using around the indicated numbers (I usually do below 250 and above 1000). Remember, temperature thresholds are ALWAYS in Kelvin no matter how you have your units set elsewhere. Once you create the cell sets, you can add them to scenes to see exactly where they are occurring. Hope this helps |
