Hey guys,
So I am refining a mesh for external flow over a plane. I imported the entire body as one region and one body and then I split by patch to define specific regions of the body (wings, tail, etc.) as different boundaries. I'm having issues with the mesh along the edge where the wing intersects the fuselage. How can I refine my mesh along that edge of intersection - is there a specific "split by" operation that would works better than others? Thanks! Mike |

OK, how would you recommend separating that edge's curve into its on feature curve? As of now only the two bodies are defined as boundaries - sorry still fairly new to Star-CCM+.
Thanks again, Mike |

Once you get your geometry to the region level: 1) expand Feature Curves under Region->Region 1 2) right click on your curve. Y 3) hit "Edit Existing Edges in Current Scene", which will provide a toolbox for extracting specific curves from your feature curve. |

Another great tool for getting clean edges is the 'contact prevention' setting. This will prevent the edge from becoming beveled.
