Hi,
I am trying to simulate air and heavy fluid sytem using VOF. My water consists of dissolved species which I am defining through the generic scalars option in Star V 4.0+. But I would like to define the generic scalar in such a way that it does not escape into air and remain in the heavy fluid. Ideally it would mean the normal gradient of the species across the interface should be zero. I have tried various options like large source terms in the diffusion equation, making the convective and the diffusive term function of liquid fraction. But in either case it leads me to species front lagging behind or incorrect convective fluxes leading to incorrect species field.. Does anyone know how to contain the species (generic scalar) in the heavy fluid? Any help would be highly appreciated. Regards, Santhanu |
