need help to use Abaqus tools

am beginner to abaqus simulia, using the version 6.8, am modeling CNG fuel tank. for that i need to use internal thread in hollow shaft at the end of dome.kindly let me know how to draw the thread as soon

Why not to replace screw thread with bonded contact?

thank you sir., actually its inside a hollow shaft. i want to draw thread. by using which method. spline or arc? if i use this method the error occurs
i dont have any ideas. about this |

ok. why do you need this one-it's another question=)
you can do it in CAD software. I'm not CAD engineer, i do not use CAD software. i use preproccessors-BETA CAE, HM. |

actually i want to analyse this model with pressure and temperature etc. is it possbile to import CAD file to Abaqus.

i think its not possible to import cad file into abaqus..

anyway thank you for your video.. actually i know from solidworks, and other software can easily import. except CAD, cuz its a beginner software
