FAILED: meson-install in M1 Mac

Hi everyone,

I tried to install SU2 to on my Mac (M1 chip), but it ended up like this. Any help will be very much appreciated.

The installation process tries to copy the final executable to /usr/local/bin/ but it does not have permission to do so. If you actually want to copy it to that location, then run this process with sudo if you can, else provide a different installation directory with the option --prefix=

I ran the process with sudo, and it worked like a charm. Thank you very much for your help.

I received the same error message running the installation of the program with command: ./ninja -C build install
How should I use sudo? In the previous installation passages I used brew.
