Hello, I have installed SU2 from source code on Ubuntu 12.10.
I ran serial SU2_CFD code and it works well for most of the test cases, except for ~/TestCases/multi_species_plasma/react_argon/ test case. In this case residuals are equals to NAN.
I did not make any changes to the configuration file plasma_argon_3D.cfg.
What could be the problem?

Thanks in advance.

I am informed of this problem, the problem is not in the solver, the problem is in the restart file.

This particular test case uses a restart file which contains a solution of the multi-species Euler equations. This restart file is used to start a simulation of multi-species plasma equation, but somehow, the restart file that I provide with this test case is not being read correctly on other computers.

Therefore this is what I suggest:

1) Use the following attached config file with the same mesh (mesh_plasma_argon_3D.su2) that you have for the plasma solver, and run it to generate your own restart file.

2) This will produce a restart file named "restart.dat".

3) Rename this file to restart_in.dat and copy it to the directory where you want to run the multi-species plasma simulation.

4) Run the configuration file (plasma_argon_3D.cfg) for the plasma solver that came with the code and obtain a solution.

This way, you have just created a new restart file for the multi-species plasma simulation that should work on your computer.

Thanks for your answer.
I followed your instructions and the code works well on my computer.
