Default parallel efficiency in SU2

Hello everyone!
Recently i have been using SU2(version 4.0.1) to run a parallel computation with 32 AMD cores(2.5GHz), and the grid size is about 10 million. However, i think the calculation speed is relatively slow(RANS, no MG, about 1000 steps per day). I am wondering if anyone has run a large-scale parallel computation with SU2? How about its efficiency? Is there anything i could do to improve the performance?
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hi ymc11,

You can check the compiler flags for optimizations (-O2, which is enabled by default).
But I think you have to increase the number of cores. 32 is not enough for this grid size as AMD cores are rather slow (at least compared to Intel).

Hi talbring,
Thanks for your reply. I checked the compiler flags and found that what i used was "-g".Then i built SU2 with compiler flags"-O3", and the computation is more than twice faster than before. However, as you said, i think the performance will be even better on intel cores.
Thank you very much. It does help me a lot.
