Direct Differentiation ans some more

Hi every one

It would be great if one can answer these questions about some options in SU2

1. In the “DESIGN VARIABLE PARAMETERS” tab there are some options which I did not understand them well? I was wondering if you can give me a small explanation about them.
DV_PARAM=
DV_VALUE=

2. All the “DEFINITION_DV=” options have a Scale input? What is that?

3. How one can change the step size for finite difference calculation of gradients?

4. What is “direct_differentiation.py” doing? Do I have to implement any specific option
in CFG file in order to use it?(what is the procedure to use it)(is the procedure the same for discrete_adjoint.py?)

5. what is the the procedure of calculating the gradients with finite_differences.py?

it would be a great help for understanding SU2
