I run one of the the SU2 Edu example airfoils: airfoil_naca4412_selig.dat, default configuration, and RANS.
After a successful run, I open the flow.vtk and find the scalars Skin_Friction_Coefficient, Heat_Flux, and Y_Plus have the first value as non-zero and the rest of them are zeros. Is that normal? All other scalars seem to be correct. Thanks. |

There was an issue with the paraview format recently which was fixed, so the most recent release may help. However, this could also be due to the surface marker: if you set the boundary as MARKER_EULER, it will be a slip wall which will have zero skin friction. For a no-slip wall the boundary condition should be heatflux (with heatflux set at 0 for adiabatic) or isothermal. |
