Hello all,
I have a problem with running SU2 for a CGNS file , I have 2D mesh extruded - made by ICEM I have Boundraies : WALL OPEN OUT FLUID FLUID_2 when I run the code it give me this error The configuration file doesn't have any definition for marker FLUID_2D!! but when I use the 2D mesh only without two sym boundaries it worked ok I`d really appreciate any help Thanks a lot ) Loading CGNS data into SU2 data structures. Three dimensional problem. 94548 interior elements. 127440 grid points. 5 surface markers. 717 boundary elements in index 0 (Marker = OPEN). 831 boundary elements in index 1 (Marker = OUT). 31516 boundary elements in index 2 (Marker = FLUID_2D). The configuration file doesn't have any definition for marker FLUID_2D!! |

Probably when you are creating mesh, one more boundary surface(FLUID_2D) is generated(you can see by importing mesh in icem cfd) or you forgot to suppress the initial surface body in meshing.

Thanks very much for your reply, I really appreciate it
Yes it seems that the error is related to the mesh but I can`t see where at all How can I solve it? what shall I do? kindly find attached the photos of the mesh for more illustration Thanks very very much for your support and concern |

Hi, If you want to perform 2d simulation better use 2d grid itself, not 2d grid with thickness, so now it becomes 3d mesh, you can see from your output that there are five markers ,out of which 3 you have specified as inlet outlet wall ,you can choose remaining two markers(fluid,fluid2d )I guess as two more walls by specifying them under Euler wall boundaries in configuration file .Even then I guess solution won't converge for various reasons.

Thanks very much for your reply
But the problem now is not in the cfg file , it`s in the mesh file as you can see it has something called FLUID_2D my parts don`t include this it`s only FLUID and FLUID_2 what shall i do for the mesh ? |
