Hi,

I am using SU2v5 (Raven) and trying to run axissymmetric flow. Based on posts over 2 years ago, I use AXISYMMETRIC = YES but I didn't find this option in config_template.cfg that was available with this distribution.

There are no print messages that point to an axis-symmetric flow. I wanted to know if this option is okay or is the line AXISYMMETRIC = YES being ignored?

Thanks,
Savio

Hi Savio, you should find a confirmation of such setting in the config_SOL.cfg and config_CFD.cfd generated when you launch the simulation.
A complete list of input parameters can be found in the config_template.cfg file in the main SU2 folder. I hope it helps.

Hi Savio, there have been numerous improvement in the axisymmetric capability. If I were you I would use the latest version v6.0.
In principle the only required flag is AXISYMMETRIC = YES and be sure that the axis is at y=0 and you are using for the axis Euler or symmetry BC.
By the way, if you are thinking on developing SU2, it would be a good idea if you take a look at the new SU2 IDS (www.su2devsociety.org).

Best,
Francisco
