Hi All,
Im taking the output meshed file for ONERA M6 wing in CGNS format from ANSA pre processor. I have created a hemispherical domain ( BC:farfield). PFA for all the BC set by me in ANSA. Im facing an error while making it run in SU2. PFA for the error. It seems that i didn't set the BC correctly in .cfg file. Can someone help me in setting the BC's since im new to SU2. PFA for the cfg file data. Thank you in advance. |

Hi Deblina,
Thank you for using SU2 and coming to the forum. It looks as if you have set up your config file correctly. The issue is that the markers defined in your mesh file are not what you expect. If you look in your mesh file, there will be a MARKER_TAG (I think) = GridShells. I think this is what is causing your issue...The meshing software didn't export your markers as expected. Let us know if you have anymore questions! Best, Wally |

Hi Wally,
Greetings! Thank you for the prompt reply. I made an observation: When i export only the volume elements (hide the surface mesh), SU2 runs well. But when i export the complete mesh data(surface and volume mesh) it shows the error. Does CGNS format reads only volume data? or is it some error while exporting from pre processor in CGNS format? I couldn't find any provision to define marker for grid shell in mesh file. As you can see, i have already defined marker for domain, symmetry, wing and fluid. Can i define a marker for gridshell in .cfg file? because i didn't find a marker definition for gridshell in the website. |

Hi Deblina,
I am a bit confused. What is the surface mesh? Is it the mesh for the wing surface? It kind of seems like the surface mesh has the marker GridShell included, which I don't quite understand. This may be a cgns issue, but im not quite sure how these work. If you include your mesh files here, I can try to take a look. Wally |

Hi wally,
Can you share your mail id so that i can send you the google drive link from which you can fetch the mesh file? The file size is too big to share in this platform. Thank you. Best Regards, Deblina. |
