This might be trivial for you all. Can someone explain surface sensitivity map after continuous adjoint calculation? Does higher surface sensitivity magnitude means node at that point should curve outward?

They are basically vectors pointing in the direction that will minimize the objective if you move the node connected to that vector. If the magnitude of the vector is larger, then the movement of this node will have a larger impact on the objective compared to nodes that have smaller magnitude vectors, so you move the nodes a distance according to the (relative) magnitude of the vectors.
