What would be the correct marker for the tipgap with respect to a turbine row. I have tried MARKER_INTERNAL but this diverges the simulation. MARKER_SYM seems to work but I'm not sure whether this is the correct marker. Following Turbogrid, the tipgap is exported following 2 surfaces (SHROUDTIPGGISIDE1 and 2). These are represented by the purple surfaces following the attached image, where I left out a few other surfaces for clarity. The tipgap surfaces are both in the same zone, where I use the multizone setup for other turbine rows.

That would be an interface, but we do not have internal interfaces at the moment (v7.5) (only between different zones).
Therefore we cannot model it, you need to either get TG to make a connected tip gap region, or to remove the tip gap, or model those surfaces as walls.

Just as an idea, would it work to set it as a periodic boundary with 0° between the two faces?

Would love to hear your thoughts on that approach. I will give it at test as soon as i have time and post my results here.

I have tried this but it did not work. The best fix is to create a mesh without these interfaces. Following TurboGrid this is possible atm using a beta feature.

For anyone with the same issue, you first have to enable the beta features and then select "Conformal Tip Enabled" (see both attached images). This should export a mesh without these tipgap interfaces.

hello , Autogrid is recommended to generate a butterfly mesh at the leaf top gap
