Hi everyone,

I simulated a model for which I defined a custom field function. When I want to transfer my data (in custom field function) to tecplot I got the following message:
Error at Node 0: cx-field-eval: unavailable in parallel solvers.

Error at Node 1: cx-field-eval: unavailable in parallel solvers.

Error at host: cx-field-eval: unavailable in parallel solvers.

Error: cx-field-eval: unavailable in parallel solvers.
Error Object: #f

I appreciate if anyone have experience of this help me solve my problem.

Thank you in advance,

From ANSYS FLUENT Guide:

"When using the parallel version of ANSYS Fluent, the only packages to which you can export custom field functions are the following:
ANSYS CFD-Post
EnSight Case Gold
Fieldview Unstructured"

https://www.sharcnet.ca/Software/Ans...630005.13.html

To work around this problem use the serial version of FLUENT!

Note that Tecplot 360 has direct readers for Fluent and EnSight. I'd advise trying to use either of those formats. If you have issues importing the data into Tecplot 360 please let our technical support team know - we try hard to keep our loaders up to date, but it's an ever moving target.

This type of error generally comes when we try to apply "Constant Heat Flux" condition. In my problem, I had to apply aprox 100000 W/m2. But even if I apply 1000 W/m2, it shows the error after some iterations. So to overcome this problem, start with least heat flux, say from 50 W/m2. Then let it run for few iterations (more than the iterations where it shows error), then gradually change the heat flux. 50---150---250---500---1000----2000 like this. But dont initiate again (point to be noted). And yes number of iterations will be more obviously.
Today morning, I started with 10 W/m2 and now I reached upto 90000 W/m2.
