Hello,

I understand, to plot any flow parameter, you first need to create a line or point or a surface in fluent and then plot on same (with direction vector or along curve length).
However, I get stuck if the line to be used for plotting is curved. Say for instance, I want to plot velocity over a spline (basically a curve joining 2 or more points).

Problem - There is a curved surface (wall boundary condition). I want to observe velocity variation over it (just couple of cells above, as surface has no slip BC). Now to do this, I need to create a curved line over this surface (spline) over which I can plot the data.

Anybody please help me with this. Thank you so much in advance.

BTW … Tecplot 360 EX does load native Fluent simulations.

Thank you Scott for your kind reply.
As I do not have access to TECPLOT at my working location, I would like to find some solution in Fluent directly or some open source. I guess there is no way to make the curved spline in Fluent directly.

But here is an alternate that I found and its working:

• Through ISO-Surface option, we can make the periphery of the surface at given location.
• Once the curved periphery is made, use CLIPPING to clip the curve to the desired length.
• Now I can plot any flow paramtere over this curve along the surface, through an option ALONG THE CURVE in PLOT menu bar
