EDIT: I reposted this under the SU2 sub forum as the category seemed more appropriate'm

I'm still fairly new to SU2, so apologies if this is an obvious question. I was wondering how the suffix of history file is set? I had a look through the SU2 pages and found the following on

history.dat or history.csv: file containing the convergence history information.

However, I notice that I also get a history.vtk in some runs. I'm aware that the convergence log name is set by the .cfg file but what determines the suffix (.dat, .csv, .vtk)? Is it set by the output format?

I hope I'm posting in the right sub-forum!
