I currently use Paraview for post processing, mainly looking at OpenFOAM results. I know that there a few alternatives that exist and I've looked into some of them, but I was wondering if anyone has a recommendation for a post processing tool that they personally like to use? It doesn't have to be a free tool, any recommendations are welcome.
Thanks Nadine |

This is a bit late, but I like ParaView for what it is worth. I find it more intuitive than most post-processors and plenty powerful for anything I have ever tried. I have used VisIt and found it mostly comparable, though I didn't like it as much. The one area I have had difficulty with in ParaView is producing nice streamlines.
Some of the commerical post-processors like Tecplot, Fieldview, and Ensight will have their strong points, mainly dedicated support. For individuals, I would say unless you have a particular issue with ParaView (that you know another software handles better), there is little reason to switch. |
