Hi everyone,
Here is the question. I designed my geometry in ICEM. I never specified the length unit. When i import the mesh to CFX, the length unit is defined automatically to meter which makes my geometry too large to have the correct simulation results. (My pipe is 4 cm long but it makes it 40 meters. So the pressure drop result doesn't make any sense. )May I ask how to set my geometry to the correct size without redoing it? Best regards, lnk Last edited by lnk; July 26, 2012 at 15:40. |

When writing the mesh in ICEM, you can apply a scaling factor.
If you forgot to do so, you can still scale the mesh in CFX. |

ICEM is unitless. Simon already explained that in this forum, you should make a research.
But as Flotus said, you can scale your mesh when you export, or scale your geometry when you import it. |

Right click on the imported mesh, choose "transform mesh" and select "scale" as the type of transformation. Isn't this in the manual?

But I can't scale it any more after I already imported the mesh, right? Best, lnk |
