Hi. I have some doubt relating Laplace smoothing option in ICEM. I generated quad mesh around 2D airfoil. I used Pre-mesh smoothing option to make it a little smooth. After smoothing it looks good but the distance of layers in the boundary of airfoil changes. Can any one tell me in which situation and how can i use laplace smooth? I also freezed some layer and used Laplace smooth but then it is not looking good.
I am showing the change in distance of layers from their original position (Red line showing original position). Please help me a little with this and correct me if i am getting something wrong. Thanks |
