Hi community,

I am using ICEM to mesh compressor blades and I would like to ask what does the 'Split internal wall' option under the 'edit mesh' tab do?

I'm using tetra mesh and I have a surface that separates 2 different fluid zones (I labelled as solid and fluid). I want to create 2 surfaces so that I can merge them together as an 'interface' in fluent.

Is the 'split internal wall' option suitable? I tried the option and it resulted in 'building grid: aborted due to critical error' in fluent.

Please advise, thank you!
