Hi everyone,
I am relatively new to CFD and ICEM so if there's anything unclear about my request, please ask! I am working on a project for a rooftop wind turbine, for which I have been given the 2D model (screenshots attached below). My task is to edit the geometry for the case without the rooftop (by joining bottom-left and bottom-right) and generate the mesh (to then run in FLUENT and compare with rooftop model results, but I'm not there yet). The inner domain should stay where it is. I have been fiddling around with it for days now, but nothing I tried seemed to work so I thought I'd start over seeking pertinent advice on this platform. Could someone guide me through the necessary steps to edit my geometry? (Meshing tips would also be welcomed) Also if someone could help me understand the colour-coding for curves and edges and how to see associations between them? I would very much appreciate it. Looking forward to someone's feedback on this. Many thanks Ftaiv Attachment 35161 Attachment 35164 Attachment 35165 Attachment 35166 Attachment 35167 NB: I couldn't upload more than 5 screenshots, so here's the additional info: For the green edge at the bottom (rooftop), the vertices are from bottom-left to bottom-right 11, 33, 36, 19. For the cyan edge that runs parallel above it the vertices go 39, 40, 42, 41. The block between 33, 36, 42, 40 is Block 4. |
