How can i close holes like this? And why are they there?
If I just mesh the surfaces there are no holes... How is it possible in Icem to connect a fluid and a surface mesh? Solved : Just click "keep Parts" in the Fluid computation Last edited by Chris_321; December 2, 2014 at 18:34. |

The holes exist probably due to thin trailing edge.
You should reduce Edge criterion(Global Mesh Setup - Volume mesh parameters) According to ICEM-CFD Help, "Edge criterion determines to waht extent a tetra is cut to represent geometry. The entered value is a factor of the tetra edge." Try reducing edge parameter to 0.01(default is 0.2). or you can define 'thin cuts'. To use 'thin cuts', you have to define three separate parts at least (upper surface, lower surface, curves between them). For more information, refer to ICEM CFD Help. |
