dear friends,
i am doing a project on stirred tank (3D geometry) with MRF using Ansys 14.0. i have made the geometry in the design modeler.Actually i myself learnt the design modeler and made the geometry so i dont know whether i followed the correct steps or not because i am not getting the correct solutions in fluent.my geometry is as shown below.

First i created the tank then 'cut material' for impeller, baffles and interface then added those as 'add frozen'.

the result i am getting is as such

at the interface, fluid direction changes.
i dont understand where the problem is..plz help

hello,

I am new user of DM. Do you have a complete tutorial for stirred tank reactor? if you have any, Please mail me on waval.aniket3@gmail.com

hi,
no i don't have any tutorial on making geometry of stirred tank. you will have to learn basic sketching, plane changing, extruding techniques. those you can find in the first tutorial of ansys guide.

i know how to draw stirrer and reactor but i want to know how to use different operations like Boolean, slice etc. after sketching basic geometry.

You should just go to help section in Ansys workbench and search for all the operations you want to do like Boolean and slice.
In Help section it details what the operation is and how to use it.

Also, I highly recommend you to visit Ansys website>Customer portal and go through tutorials in it, they can help you understand the when, where and how to use these operations

Hope it helps

Cheers
KAPI
