Can anyone suggest a proper way to determine appropriate value of bias factor during meshing?

The grids are stretched using different bias factors $i.e.$, by varying the ratio of the largest edge size to the smallest.
This is defined by, (growth rate) $^{(n-1)}$, where,`n' is the number of divisions.
