Hi everyone,

So I've created an aerofoil mesh in a 2D domain in ICEM, ready to be exported to FLUENT. I've basically just followed the ICEM Hexa youtube tutorial, but added in defining my INLET, OUTLET, fluid and WALL but I can't figure out where I'm going wrong. Before I make my mesh, I assign the INLET to the curved part of the domain, WALL to the top and bottom, and OUTLET to the end. Everything proceeds smoothly, I export my mesh into FLUENT, but FLUENT doesn't recognise that there's an inlet! It seems to merge my WALL with INLET, so there's no inlet at all, and WALL where the inlet should be, as seen in the photo attached :/.

Any help would be very very much appreciated!

Thank you

I see your problem as WALL is chosen for inlet. You can choose again in Fluent to select it as inlet. And for Int_fluid choose in fluent "interior"

Got it?

When I say inlet - I mean either a Velocity inlet/ Pressure inlet / Pressure far field I suppose ( In fluent)

No . In Fluent, the only objects I have are the four in the picture, and none of them represent where I want the inlet to be (the curved part), so I'm not sure how to only select that part as my inlet.
