I attempt to draw mesh for a 3D pipe with known number of meshes at inlet , outlet and along pipe length, the problem I able to set the number of mesh at inlet and outlet by using insert sizing>edge sizing and set the number of divisions to 10 meshes but with length i cannot find the edge along length to set the number of nodes as 1200? how I can set pipe length to this mesh number? any help is appreciated?

Hi mariam.sara,

Easiest way to do it is by giving Body sizing, Choose (element size = Length of pipe /number of nodes) and then Give Behavior> Hard

Thanks Kapi for the reply. I want to ask with applying your suggestion with setting the element size from the relation you mentioned using body sizing How can I ensure that the mesh distributed as 10 nodes at edge inlet and 10 at outlet and 1200 along pipe length?

Thanks
Mariam

Use Body Sizing as I explained before and then use "Edge sizing" at Inlet and outlet. Make sure you use Behavior"HARD" so that it only makes 10 nodes at inlet and outlet.
