Dear friends:
I meshing a " serpentine channel in a box " problem, it is a conjugate heat transfer problem. I have split the block as shown in the attachment. But how to define the solid region and the fluid region. I have defined the material point , but fluent merge it all to a single region. Regards |

If you have defined the material points in the solid and fluid regions you should also create 2 distinct parts with the respective block for both regions (fluid_blk and solid_blk). Then you can specify which type of volume is assigned to your fluid and solid region under the output mesh tab > boundary conditions > Volumes and you'll see the fluid and solid volumes.
When you import it in fluent you'll have both regions: |

I'm using version 16.0 of fluent, I also checked on an older version (15.0) and it's the same procedure.
