Hi,
I am using ICEM CFD to create unstructed mesh, but I feel that it is not easy to control ICEM to get the mesh that I want. As before ,I am familiar with the structed mesh (Block way). Because there is not enough time for me to deal with a complex model, so I want to use the unstructed mesh, at the same time , the CFX is a unstructed solver. The picture below is the mesh created by orther person's work in his paper. If anybody who knows how to create this type mesh and give me a hand ,I will be appreciated. |

I dont think this mesh has been made in ICEM CFD. It looks more like a cutcell mesh which you can do in ansys meshing and will only work for fluent and not cfx (i think).
Also, notice he has no inflation and triangle cells near the walls inside the geometry. that will give him poor results. give a link to this paper and the journal it is in, i am curious to read it. for tet cells you MUST have inflation on the walls. |
