I am running a very simple step model to make sure I know how to apply the prism layer properly. I have been following Simon’s tips and trick on ICEM CFD, which has been invaluable, to correctly set up my prism layers. Every thing works great except where the top of the step intersects with the side walls. The prism layers seem to pull away from the wall. I have my min prism quality at 1e-6 and max prism angle at 180. I thought maybe that selecting the part that contains the wall surface as the "Side part" would fix the problem, but no dice. Any ideas? Thanks!
PS: the vertical section of the step is assigned to a different part than the horizontal sections. It does not have any prism layers growing off of it. Geometry and mesh files. |
