Hi Folks,
I am currently trying to model a 3D vertical axis turbine with straight blades using Ansys 14.5 and Fluent, I have booleaned out my blades and shaft from the rotating domain all went to plan. however when I try to mesh in Ansys mesher I get the warning "Inflation created stairstep mesh at some locations" when I create a section and examine the mesh I can the stairstep is created towards the trailing edge (see attached) I have searched this forum and it is suggested to change the angle to 180 degrees from the default of 140 degrees, I tried this and it didn't work. I'd appreciate it if anyone could help me with this problem. Regards, Dave |

Hi David.
I got the same problem as you. Have you solve the meshing problem "stairstep"? |
