Hi everbody,

I'm a beginner at ICEM. I want to know how to draw a surface to a solid body. I want to draw the surface (red part in the first Picture) to a solid body. First I copied the surface in z direction and sweeped all the curves through two points. The result please have a look at second picture. But I found that, it generate only surfaces not a closed solid body. And when I prepare to make a mesh with "curve mesh" on the entities, it occurs problem. Can any body help me to solve this prblem?

I am thankful for any hint. If there's any uncertainties, please ask.

Thank you!

Greetings

Hello Bowen,

The best way is to directly import the “solid” part you want to mesh in ICEM. If for some reasons you want to sweep the existing curves within ICEM you should create a body in ICEM selecting 2 mat points within your “solid” domain.

Have fun

Hallo Gwenael,

First I appreciate for your respnding.

That's right I must finish the Geometry in ICEM. I tried to creat the body through selecting surfaces (please see first picture), but some error happend (please see picture 2). Is that mean I have to add all the things like curves or points in part "GEOM" to the part "ISOLATOR" ?

Thanks for your help!
