Hi all,

I am looking for advice from this forum on how to properly mesh my geometry. I have seen other threads on this forum, but I still could not get it to work. I have attached my geometry, please have a look at it.

I would like to know how I can mesh the different sections of the cylindrical domain individually, as in i would like to have different mesh sizes for different sections. How I should treat the surfaces of the imported geometry, i.e. as walls or interfaces or fluid domain.

Every time I finished making the O grid, I cannot seem to define the mesh size for the fluid domain or that any changes in the mesh size does not have an impact on the element count at all. Moreover, I tried to simulate it on FLUENT and the fluid only traversed the block in the middle, not all the way to the circumference of the cylindrical surfaces.

Regarding the geometry, I tried using two types. one with solids protruding from the edges of the cylindrical domain on a certain section. And another one with the same geometry, but i have cut out the solids using boolean operation.

"I know that ICEM is a surface meshing tool, but still I have no idea to make it work properly"

Thank you very much, I hope to see a reply ASAP.

Geometry is imported as sfurfaces only, but ICEM CFD can mesh volume.

What is the best way to label the material points with regard to the attached geometry files (please refer to the first post of this thread).
