I tried meshing an airfoil with a circular bump on its surface. But after meshing and converting into an unstructured mesh, while importing the mesh into fluent, the following error pops up.
1. The mesh contains negative elements : maybe the quality of the ANSYS Fluent mesh is too worse to use. 2. Mesh has uncovered edges. ANSYS Fluent needs a complete boundary(lines in 2D) or it will give variety of errors and not read in the mesh! If this was 2d Hexa, perhaps your edges are not associated with perimeter curves. I have been trying to mesh the following geometry for the past 15 days with no result. Can anyone suggest me how to construct a structured grid around this modified airfoil? Hi Uday,
read the message in red in screenshot 21. Then search for "unconvered faces" in this subforum and get an idea how to solve this. Then perform mesh checks, as always, before exporting the mesh. regarding the dimple, i suggest you to create an o-grid around the wing and try such a structure: dimple.png Then, take care, that the element sizes don't differ too much between blocks. Best regards, Sebastian |
