Hello guys,

I have to mesh a fractal geometry in ANSYS, if possible I want to use hexahedral elements to compute the mesh. I found a method to compute the mesh for this geometry, the problem being that I have around 7000 of blocks with lots of edges that I have to attach to the newly created curves. The time to compute the mesh is taking too long.
So, I decided to give up a try for an unstructured mesh, but when I tried to compute the prisms layer, I found that they collapse with the small holes that are present in the geometry. I tried even to use a y+ of 1 and a 1.1 growth rate. I was able to compute one layer, because when the other one is computing in collapse with nearest prism layer.

My questions are:

Is there a technique to compute this type of geometry with hexahedral elements?

How can I deal with all the sharp edges of my geometry? I tried even to add a little radius there so that the prisms layers could build, but with no success so far. However, I tried even to refine those problematic zones with cells equal to the lowest size (0.25 mm) but I will have a mesh with more than 100e6 of elements.
