Hello everyone,
i want to create a structured mesh for a half-egg-like geometry using ANSYS Meshing and Spaceclaim (student ver 19.1). In the center of the "egg" i created a cylinder body in order to create a structured mesh.

I sliced the geometry into different bodies and obtained a structured mesh by using the multizone method. For two bodies however multizone method is not able to create a structured mesh (see "Mesh" Picture). I also tried face meshing and sweeping around the axis and from top to bottom. Shared topolgoy is on for all bodies. Ansys tells me, that both bodies are sweepable. It is also not possible to mesh them as single bodys supressing all over bodies (Picture "Mesh single body")

I hope someone can help me or has a solution to this problem. Right now i am assuming that the corners are too sharp for a strucutred mesh.

Best Regards

Bruno

Use the same "number of divisions" for line sizing for your mesh along those horizontal lines.
