Hi Everyone,
I am new to the cfd. so I have started small. I am trying to simulate supersonic flow over a wedge. the half angle is 20 degrees. I can't figure out to set the dimensions for the flow domain like inlet outlet and far field and my wedge dimension is one meter. please help and thanks in advance. how to take the dimensions? |

What's your problem exactly? There are many toturials on the net that you can follow.

You will need to mesh the external domain.
Its size depends on the wedge geometry, the fluid properties, and the velocity of the fluid. If you specify these in reply, someone will be able to assist you. Often you can find this by searching for existing published literature as they have many geometries already available as benchmark cases. |

My wedge is of length 1 meter with a half angle of 20 degrees. Static pressure, static temperature and mach number behind shock wave are 1atm, 300K , 4.
