Filling the hole in existing mesh with tet elements

Hello there,
The problem I am facing is probably not very complicated, but I haven't found a solution yet... I am simulating the flow over a turbine blade. My mesh is a quite decent 3D hexa type mesh prepared in Icem with C-grid topology. However, in the current step I should include that thin clearance between the blade tip and the duct surface. For that reason, I was trying to fill this clearance with some tet elements (blocking is not a good idea, since the C-grid topology was used). To have good results and to avoid any further problems, I am trying to generate conformal mesh. I was trying to use free blocks (not possible, since I have created C-grid), generate tet elements separatelly and then merge them with hexa mesh. Any suggestions if there is some option to generate volume mesh from the surface mesh already generated? Kind regards, M |
