Block-structured mesh around multi-element airfoil using ICEM

Hello everybody,
I have been trying to use ICEM for making a 2D block-structured mesh around a multi-element airfoil. I am however having some troubles. My strategie is to make a C-grid around the two airfoils and then a O-grid around each individual airfoil as shown here: icem1.jpg icem2.jpg However when I am visualising the pre-mesh, I realize that some of the mesh don't respect my blocking. As can be seen below: ICEM3.jpg The mesh seems to be influenced by the shape of the airfoil even if the edges of the blocks are not linked to the airfoil. I would like to get rid of this problem in order to have the flow and the mesh in the same direction. Any help would be greatly appreciated. |
