i am trying to solve a jet problem with k epsilon turbulence model and have made a mesh with y+ ranging from 20 to 90. i wanted to check the mesh for grid independence. do i refine the whole geometry and change my Y+ as well or
do i leave the same Y+ and refine everywhere else ? sorry

I personally would fix the y+ value. If you are using wall functions you need a minimum y+ and refining the boundary layer below that value is not recommended. I would suggest also to read this document for guidelines about y+ values in Fluent.
