Dear Community,

as a ICEM beginner I have the following problem.
As you can see in the picture I want to mesh a curved inlet of an seal, best practice example is shown on the left.



On the right, part of my blocking strategy is to associate the diagonal line to the curve of the inlet, shown by the small arrow. On the lines I set the desired numbers of nodes, e.g. 10, 5, 6, "copy parameters to all parallel edges" is turned off.
The number of nodes 14 is caculated by icem itself, also the red number 6.
My question is why the red number is not higher than 6?

The third picture shows the actual mesh, with small elements, which cause a failed mesh.

Has someone an idea how can I reach the desired mesh, like in the first picture?
