Hi,
I'm trying to simulate a ducted fan's blade in CFX, for which I am trying to mesh with Turbogrid. It keeps throwing this error 'Mesh too coarse to successfully create tip mesh'. So I went back to the CAD to check for sharp TE and found out that my geometry has irregularities when imported into Designmodeler. But the same CAD has a smooth TE while I opened it in Autodesk Inventor. Is there any way to solve this issue??
I have attached images of my TE.

Thanks in advance!!

Hi,
The problem has been sorted. It seems that a .stp file doesn't make any effort to smoothen any unintentional or undesirable irregularities in the geometry. Inventor generally does this cleaning to all the CAD that is being opened through it. Ansys Designmodeler, on the other hand, doesn't do it. So, I adopted another format of the same file, that is, a Parasolid file. This takes care of this cleaning. Hence now, I'm able to mesh my geometry seamlessly.
Hope this helps someone who faces similar issue.
Thanks !!!
