Default Weird Meshing of cavity

Hi there,

I'm new to ICEM and Ansys in general and I need some explanation for an occurence. (See picture)

I tried to redo the block several times but I ended up having the same outcome. As a result I can not run the sim as parts of it are now 2D instead of 3D.

Would very appreciate a solution to this problem!

Its a bit hard to judge by the picture because you display the block as well as the mesh.

Looks like the mesh is collapsed in the circle mentioned, most likely this is an association problem. You could check the association of each edges by right clicking the "edge" in the tree and select "Show association" and associate accordingly.
